Set in the picturesque Wairarapa Valley Gateway Motor Inn offers an elegant country venue with a modern twist.
The advantage of holding your function at Gateway is that we have everything all under one roof – function room, catering, music and fine accommodation for up to 32 of your guests.
The Derby Room at Gateway is ideally suited for groups up to 120 for a seated meal, or up to 150 for a function with finger food. Its large bi-fold doors open onto an elegant courtyard overlooking a serene garden setting.
Your function/occasion is personalised for you, no two weddings are the same and costs vary depending on what you want to do and the number of people you are inviting. The team at Gateway will ensure that your function is absolutely cruisy. You can expect fabulous food , wine and THE BEST service of the highest standard.
We operate a well equipped bar and are fully licensed to sell and supply alcohol from 7am until 2am except on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Christmas day and before 1pm on Anzac day.
VENUE HIRE – DERBY ROOM
The hire of the Derby Room will vary to the nature of function.
Venue hire includes:
· Setting up of tables, chairs, table linen, cutlery and glassware.
· Supplying white table linen, all cutlery, crockery, glassware and napkins.
· Small glass candle holders for tables (if you wish to use them). Tea light candles to be provided by you in a colour of your choice.
· White archway which can be used indoors or outdoors(for wedding).
· Set up of garden area to enjoy sunshine and do wedding ceremony if you wish to marry on site
· Dance floor
· Mirror ball over dance floor
· A music system which can play your choice of music throughout the evening – compile a list of your favourite tunes on an iPod and we will play it through our speakers
· Full wait staff throughout the evening (if Gateway is the caterer)
Exclusively for weddings(Accommodation in our premium suite with complimentary bottle of bubbles and antipasto platter for bridal couple, table for wedding cake & gifts, garden for your ceremony, Special advice upon wedding from our wedding specialist(OUR TEAM,Exclusive use of the Derby Room on the day of the wedding. If there is no function booked on the previous evening you can have access to the venue for decorating should you wish to add your personal touches)
CATERING & BEVERAGE LIST:
We can supply you with our menus & beverage list on request. We also do customised menu if you like to make your occasion even more special. There is an option of BYO if you so wish but there would be a corkage charge for this. This is negotiated with you depending on whether you wish to provide all of your own alcohol or just some of it and we provide the rest.
